Job Summary
Libs Paving completed asphalt improvements at Ports of Indiana in Jeffersonville, placing 3,500 tons of INDOT-specification surface mix designed to support the facility’s heavy truck traffic and loading demands. The project included precise grading, milling to match existing surfaces, and careful paving and compaction to deliver a smooth, uniform finish. Close coordination with the asphalt production plant helped maintain consistent material quality throughout placement. Tight pavement joints, improved drainage, and smooth transitions supported the durability and reliability needed at this busy industrial facility.
Challenges
Working within an active, high-traffic port required careful coordination with facility personnel to maintain access and minimize disruptions to daily operations. Crews managed paving activities around commercial traffic and loading areas while maintaining safe, efficient work zones and meeting schedule requirements.
The site’s demanding conditions also required close attention to drainage, compaction, and connections to existing pavement. Our team carefully graded the surface to direct water away from traffic areas, loading zones, and buildings.
