JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Paving Screw Operator to join our team. The Paving Screw Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining paving equipment, particularly the paving screw, to ensure precise and efficient asphalt placement during paving operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of asphalt paving techniques and equipment operation, as well as a commitment to safety and quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (will include but not limited to):

  • Operate and control the paving screw to distribute and level asphalt mix during paving operations.
  • Monitor and adjust paving screw speed, angle, and depth to achieve desired asphalt thickness and finish.
  • Coordinate with paving crew members to ensure smooth and efficient paving operations.
  • Conduct pre-operation equipment checks and routine maintenance to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions or operational issues as they arise.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

JOB SUMMARY

A skilled Asphalt Laborer-Lute Rake performs detailed, quality, consistent assignments in Lute Rake operations. Uses rake and or lute in distributing hot asphalt and binder evenly over surfaces by raking and brushing material to correct thickness. Rakes out or breaks lumps, so that the surface is brought to the proper grade and conforms to the general contour of the surface. Performs basic asphalt labor Safely and efficiently for the Libs Paving Team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (will include but not limited to):

  • Follows any and all direction from Libs Paving Management team as well as Superintendent, Foremen or Equipment Operator.
  • Prior experience operating an Asphalt Rake/Lute on construction projects preferred.
  • Rake asphalt to proper grade and finish before compaction.
  • Match and finish freshly made asphalt paving joints.
  • Smooth and adjust surface irregularities in asphalt to restore surface finish.
  • Assist the screed operator with maintaining the grade and screed extensions.
  • Takes necessary precautions to ensure job is being done in the safest manner possible. Is mindful of their personal safety as well as safety of coworkers and customers.
  • Safely and efficiently operates rake/lute on paving projects.
  • Safely and efficiently operates blower, saw, weed eater and compactor plate to prepare job sites for paving.

JOB SUMMARY

Position will contain, but will not be limited to, running daily PCs on virgin materials and asphalt mixtures; Communicating with State/City Officials and Engineers. Will keep data organized for future planning and costing of asphalt mixtures and work directly with Libs Paving and ASCO management on design needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (will include but not limited to):

  • Perform all testing in lab and on site as required for municipal, INDOT and KYTC Projects.
  • Design all private, INDOT and KYTC mixes in house for maximum cost effectiveness and quality.
    Explore newer technologies for cost savings.
  • Full Volumetric Testing.
  • Design new asphalt mixes to increase efficiencies.
  • Working with State Inspectors, Public Works Inspectors, State Engineers, and District Engineers.
    Upload JMF to State entities and have experience working with AMAW’s.
  • Understand how to run/teach PQI operations.
  • Daily/weekly quality control of mixes to ensure/confirm mixes produced are within spec.
    Daily/weekly cost control of mixes to ensure /confirm mixes are being produced as cost effectively as possible while maintaining quality and workability for crews (Moistures, gradations, extractions, etc.)
    Proactively obtain feedback from asphalt paving crews on a regular basis and report back to GM.
    Working as a Team Member with asphalt plant team members.
  • Keep an open line of communication with parent company, Libs Paving.
  • Assist with other Asphalt Plant operations, as necessary.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing planning, supervision, and documentation for job site activities. The Superintendent will direct the Supervisors for Asphalt prep, Paving, Sealcoating and Striping as well as Concrete demolition, formation and finishing. Provides the necessary support and leadership to ensure safety and operational success

  • Directly supervises and coordinates the activities of all Supervisors in prep, paving, concrete, excavation, striping and sealcoat operations.

JOB SUMMARY

Works directly with internal and external customers to prepare estimate packages for asphalt prep and paving as well as concrete prep and installation. Performs project management for commercial as well as INDOT and KYTC projects. Works with Superintendents to ensure projects are completed to customer specifications. Provides support to the customer from estimate to completion of the project including AR follow-up.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (will include but not limited to):

  • Looks for and Bids on projects as assigned. Utilizes daily publications, web sites and customer leads for projects to bid.
  • Orders and reviews plans and specifications from customer.
  • Works closely with all customers assigned to him/her. Works with the superintendent if the project has issues occurring that are above and beyond the scope of the project.
  • Sends bid(s) to customer and then follows up and tracks the results.
  • Verifies bid proposal matches the customer contract.
  • Prepares complete cost estimates for labor and material within set deadlines.
  • Works with scheduling to insure project is completed to customer specifications and timelines.
  • Plans, directs, coordinates, supervises and controls the execution of all aspects of the project per Libs Paving policies and procedures. Works with the superintendents to plan, organize and direct project activities.
  • Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of Libs Paving policy and contract specifications.
  • Communicates with Superintendents to discuss work procedures, resources, complaints and project problems.

JOB SUMMARY

Safely and efficiently assists in the preparation, grade, and excavation of job sites for asphalt paving while being aware of surroundings at all times, and following safety protocols for customers of Libs Paving Co., Inc.

  • Follows any and all direction from Libs Paving Management team as well as Superintendent and Foremen.

  • Must be attention to detail oriented when operating equipment to be aware of surroundings and the various obstacles that may be encountered.
  • Reports any damage to equipment to the Libs Paving Maintenance team.

  • When driving company vehicles follows proper daily checklist and inspection procedures while completing documentation of same as required.

JOB SUMMARY

Safely and efficiently provide assistance to lead mechanic with diagnostics, repair and inspection of Libs Paving Machinery and truck fleets to insure the best possible performance of mechanical and diesel-powered equipment for going on the road or to a job site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (will include but not limited to):

  • Performs and analyzes vehicle diagnostic tests.
  • Assists lead mechanics in their everyday work processes, learning and comprehending their work abilities.
  • Works with Fleetio software to complete electronic documentation, including pre and post trip inspections, vehicle repairs, and any other maintenance records required.
  • Inspects, repairs, and maintains all vehicles in the Libs Paving and PTI Fleets.

JOB SUMMARY

Safely and efficiently operates breakdown rollers and finish rollers. Distributes, breaks down, compresses, and gives a finished surface to cooling asphalt to provide superior customer service in the asphalt paving business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (will include but not limited to):

  • Operates various sizes of rollers to compact subgrade and sub-base asphalt surfaces appropriately and safely.
  • Performs daily maintenance and safety checks of roller.
  • Performs daily maintenance of fluids and water systems.
  • Safely operates roller in successive overlapping passes over surfaces to be compacted, rolling asphalt to desired compaction and smoothness.
  • Determines the speed and direction of the roller, based on knowledge of compressibility of material under changing temperatures, so that ridges do not form by excessive pressure.
  • Operates the breakdown roller to achieve proper compaction.
  • Operates the finish roller in successive overlapping passes to apply the final finish and remove imperfections with a finish roller.
  • Assists with tamping and wacker when necessary if roller is not accessible to certain areas.
  • Ensures the job site is clean and free of excess material.
  • Assist in setting up and taking down signs when necessary.

JOB SUMMARY

Position will contain, but will not be limited to, running daily PCs on virgin materials and asphalt mixtures; Communicating with State/City Officials and Engineers. Will keep data organized for future planning and costing of asphalt mixtures and work directly with Libs Paving and ASCO management on design needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (will include but not limited to):

  • Perform all testing in lab and on site as required for municipal, INDOT and KYTC Projects.
  • Design all private, INDOT and KYTC mixes in house for maximum cost effectiveness and quality.
    Explore newer technologies for cost savings.
  • Full Volumetric Testing.
  • Design new asphalt mixes to increase efficiencies.
  • Working with State Inspectors, Public Works Inspectors, State Engineers, and District Engineers.
    Upload JMF to State entities and have experience working with AMAW’s.
  • Understand how to run/teach PQI operations.
  • Daily/weekly quality control of mixes to ensure/confirm mixes produced are within spec.
    Daily/weekly cost control of mixes to ensure /confirm mixes are being produced as cost effectively as possible while maintaining quality and workability for crews (Moistures, gradations, extractions, etc.)
    Proactively obtain feedback from asphalt paving crews on a regular basis and report back to GM.
    Working as a Team Member with asphalt plant team members.
  • Keep an open line of communication with parent company, Libs Paving.
  • Assist with other Asphalt Plant operations, as necessary.
